I don't want metal braces
Metal braces are a big commitment, the average time of completion is around 18 months and for some people they aren’t an easy option- even though the results can be fantastic. They can be uncomfortable, difficult to clean and difficult to eat with - not to mention a little unsightly! This is why many clients do not consider orthodontics when looking at options to improve their smile.
However, there is a brilliant way to achieve similar results to fixed braces without any of the metal or wires!
Invisalign is fast becoming a very popular choice for those clients who do not want metal braces. It is made up of a series of clear (almost invisible) aligners which are entirely removable and have a similar completion time to traditional fixed braces. Invisalign uses computer technology to create your custom made aligners, each with a minor adjustment to the last, causing a gradual force which moves the teeth over the duration of the treatment.
This is a completely conservative way to get the smile you wish for. Prior to beginning your treatment you will even have the chance to see your end results in a computer generated mock up of your teeth movement, which is a great way to ensure this is the right choice for you.
