I need all my teeth fixed
Ask the DentistMaybe you haven’t visited the dentist for a while and feel concerned and embarrassed about the condition of your mouth. Or maybe you do see your dentist regularly but you want to take your dental care to the next level and improve the health, function and cosmetics of your mouth. Either way we wont judge you and are always extremely understanding of each unique case.
In some people, poor teeth and/or a poor bite can lead to a condition called TMD – Temporomandibular Disorder. The teeth are not just an isolated part of the body. When we consider a more holistic view we often see a connection between grinding and clenching, worn down teeth or missing teeth with jaw joint pain and clicking, ear problems, headaches and migraines, neck pain, and postural problems. These may be caused by the way your teeth bite together, or by the way your jaw moves. You may even grind your teeth while you are sleeping resulting in extra tension around the neck, face and head. All of these things will be taken into consideration when we make your diagnosis and help to plan your treatment.
You may also be surprised to know that the health and function of your mouth is closely linked with other more general health issues such as cardiovascular disease, complications in pregnancy and birth, diabetes, immune system disorders and even eating disorders.
Dr Kat carries out a thorough examination on every new client so we can find out everything we need to know to help you reach your dental goal. We will then advise you all of the available treatment options.
